At Afriargel, we understand that leadership is demonstrated not only through our daily operations but also by being present where the future of our industry is defined. For this reason, this past May, we attended the third edition of the International Defense and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF 2023), held at IFEMA, Madrid.
As professional visitors, our participation in this strategic event—the most significant in its sector in Spain—was a key opportunity to strengthen our technical and strategic vision.
A Showcase for Global Innovation
FEINDEF 2023 did more than just break records with over 500 exhibitors from 25 countries; it established itself as the epicenter for "dual-use" technologies and European technological sovereignty. During our visit, we gained firsthand knowledge of the advancements transforming the sector:
Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Defense: We analyzed new solutions for protecting critical infrastructure and managing data in complex environments.
Autonomous Systems: We observed the latest trends in robotics and drones applied to both civil and operational security.
Innova for Def & Sec Space: We dedicated time to exploring the startup ecosystem and the disruptive solutions that will lead the way in the coming years.
Why Were We There?
Our presence as visitors at FEINDEF stems from a clear commitment: continuous improvement. Being present in Halls 8 and 10 of IFEMA allowed us to:
Detect Trends: Identify cutting-edge technologies that we can integrate or adapt to provide more robust solutions for our clients.
Strategic Networking: Hold meetings with key partners and establish contact with international technological leaders.
Technological Surveillance: Evaluate the state of the art in sectors such as advanced logistics, secure communications, and simulation systems.
Conclusions of a Landmark Edition
FEINDEF 2023 proved that the defense industry is an engine of innovation that benefits society as a whole. For Afriargel, the experience was highly rewarding, reaffirming our position as an observant and dynamic player in the face of global challenges.
We continue to work on converting the lessons learned at this exhibition into real value for our current and future projects.
